Happy Birthday

Today is Landen's Birthday he is already 2. We had a little birthday party for him yesterday. He had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures.

The Birthday boy and Daddy

He really was enjoying opening his presents he just didn't like the wrapping
paper.

Right after he opened Grandma and Grandpa Raley's present he laid down to read it

He really likes his speed racer car from David and Andrea Gunnell. He won't stop playing with it. Last night after we put him to bed we heard the car go off (it makes the sound of an engine running and will rev-up if you shake it) so we went into his room and he was laying face down on his bed with the car under him trying to keep it quiet. He didn't realize it would go off or be so loud when he tried to sneak it into bed with him. I finally found the off switch this morning.

He liked having the attention when we sang happy birthday to him.

Blowing out his candles.

Trying to reach the balloons. He couldn't reach jumping so he got his stool. But he still couldn't reach.

Landen cutting his hair

Landen wanted to help cut his hair. Then he decided to just cut it him self.

This morning Drew got up at 6:00 and went to go check on Landen. He wasn't in his bed. We have been putting pillows on the side of his bed because he has fallen out a few times. The pillows were still right where we had put them last night but Landen was no where to be found. Drew heard some breathing so he looked under the bed and sure enough Landen was sleeping under his bed next to the pillows.

New Crib

We bought a new crib today. It is a 4-1 convertible crib. I wanted that kind so I could set it up as a toddler bed and let Landen use it until the baby is born. Drew had to go to work so I decided to put it together by myself so Landen could sleep in it tonight. I started at 7:00 P.M. and I decided to put it together in the living room so I could watch TV too. Well I am sure most of you are laughing at me right now. I got it together and started dragging it down the hall and got the crib and me stuck. I had a friend come over to help. We got it out of the hall but we were having problems getting it in the bedroom. So we started taking little pieces off trying again to get it through the door. By the time we got it into the bedroom we had totally taken it apart. I know very well now how to take apart and put together our new crib. It was 10:00 P.M. when I finally finished. Landen went to bed 2 hours after his bed time so we didn't have to many problems getting him to sleep in it. He only got up twice. The first time he got up I was on the phone with Drew as he was on his way home from work. I heard a few noises so I went to go check on him. He wasn't in his bed and he wasn't in his room. I told Drew we had a missing baby. He was in the bathroom looking through one of the drawers. Drew thought it was pretty funny. Landen really seems to like his new bed.

3 feet tall

I just measured Landen today and he is already 35 1/4 inches tall. He just has 3/4 of an inch left and he will be 3 feet tall. He is getting so big. He has been going potty on the toilet more. He really enjoys getting a treat after going on the toilet. His 2nd birthday is coming up in less then 2 weeks. I have been trying to plan his birthday party but feel over whelmed with Thanksgiving too. Landen's birthday is on a Sunday so we are having his party on the Saturday before. Drew has to work on Thanksgiving so we will be celebrating it on Friday. I have to cook a Thanksgiving dinner and Landen's cake all on Friday and have enough time to clean and decorate on Saturday. I miss having family close.

Drew has only 4 weeks left until he is done with this semester of school. He is very excited. I am excited too, it will be nice to see him during the week again. I know Landen will enjoy getting to play with daddy all the time instead of being bored with mommy. He still has two semesters left before he gets his Associated Degree.

The baby is moving so much. I really don't think he has any resting periods. Its rare for me to not feel him for longer than 5 minutes. I have been wearing myself out with cooking all the time. I get so bored I don't know what else to do. I made pumpkin puree for the first time and have been having lots of fun finding different recipes to put it in. There's so much I want to bake right now that I just can't stop. But I am so tired that I don't want to do anything. I think Landen is getting mad at me because I am either resting or cooking and I don't pay much attention to him.

Landen reading his book on the toilet. He loves his potty book.
He likes to just relax on the toilet when he doesn't really have to go.

He loves washing his hands and some times tries to wash them before going potty. We are trying pull-ups right now. They have Lightning McQueen on them. He loves his McQueen diapers

Here is a recent picture of me at 27 weeks. Only 3 months to go and it can't come quick enough. I am so ready to be done.

I hope all my family knows how much we love and miss you all. We really appreciate all your love and support. We are very excited to go to Arizona and visit you. It seems so far away but hopefully it will come quickly.

Too Cute

Landen did the cutest thing tonight. Whenever he gets hurt I always kiss his ouie to make it feel better. Landen was playing with his truck and ran over my toes. I said "ouch that hurt". So he picked up my foot and kissed my toes for me and said "better". It was so cute.

Playing in the snow

I took Landen outside yesterday to play in the snow. He had so much fun he didn't want to come back inside. Now we need to get him a snow suit and some boots so he can stay out longer.

Winter is here

I woke up this morning to snow. This year is going by way to fast. Landen will be turning 2 in 25 more days, and we will be having another kid in 3 more months. Where does all the time go?

We are all doing good though. Drew is just trying to keep up with school. He only has about 5 weeks left then he is done with this semester. He is always stressing about his grades but he always does so well.

Landen is getting so big. He talks so much and is always trying to learn new words. About two weeks ago Landen started going poop in the toilet. We are so excited. In 5 days he went 4 times with no messy diapers. Sense then we have had a few messy diapers but are also still going in the toilet. He decided all on his own that he wanted to go in the toilet.

I am just trying to keep my self busy. I have been baking a lot and reading. I am getting pretty big and am feeling the baby all the time. He doesn't seem to like to keep still. Landen likes to kiss my belly. He doesn't like me to show my belly though. If I lift my shirt for him to kiss my belly he will just pull my shirt back down. We have finely decided on a name. Our new baby boy will be Dade Jackson Pease.

Here are some Halloween pictures.
