Introducing Taige Owen!

I guess its time to share Taige's birth story. I had a planned c-section scheduled for May 23rd but apparently Taige decided not to wait. I had a hard time sleeping the morning of the 22nd due to having contractions. I had a lot of braxton hicks contractions through out my pregnancy and a false labor so I didn't think too much about it. The contractions kept getting worse and coming more often. Since my parents were coming that afternoon and Drew had a few clients he had to go see I tried to wait it out. Around 11:00am I was pretty sure my water had broke and the contractions were getting a lot worse so I decided it was time to go to the hospital. Dade was at my parents' so after I took Landen to school at 12:00pm Drew got home to pick me up and we went to the hospital. The doctor wanted to try to stop my contractions and send me home to come back for my scheduled time the following day. We were hoping that my contractions would stop because the Doctor I wanted to deliver me was the one scheduled to do my c-section the following morning. But after giving me the medication my contractions didn't even slow down and I had progressed to a 2 so the doctor decided to go ahead and do the c-section. I was kind of scared for the c-section because with Landen, since he was stuck, I could feel them tugging and pulling at him and it was so uncomfortable. Then with Dade the epidural didn't work so they had to put me under. Everything went well this time and at 3:44pm Taige Owen Pease was born, 8lb 4oz and 21 3/4inches! I was so excited when I first heard him cry that I actually started crying! I also go to see him right after which was pretty incredible! With Landen because of the problems in the delivery they put me to sleep right after he was born so I never heard him cry and didn't get to see him for 7 hours and since I was put under with Dade I didn't see him for a few hours either. I was pretty happy that everything went so well. My recovery was a lot better also. I was determined to leave the hospital as soon as possible and after 48 hours Taige and I were able to go home!

Taige is now 5 weeks old and doing good. He is growing so fast. Landen and Dade are such big helpers. Landen loves holding Taige and gets so excited when he makes him smile or puts him to sleep. Dade loves to give Taige kisses. To Landen and Dade his name is Baby Taige. We are so blessed to have three wonderful (and crazy) boys!!
