Home sweet home

We are now home!!!!! It is nice being out of the hospital and relaxing at home. We left the hospital Monday morning. Drew has been going to school in the mornings but he has 3 weeks off of work and he has been enjoying every minute of not being at work. It has been so nice having my parents here to help. Landen has loved having them here. They will be here until the end of next week then Drew's mom will be coming to stay with us for a week.

When Landen first came to see Dade he didn't want to have anything to do with him. After a few hours he started getting a little more curious but still didn't really care. Once we got Dade home Landen has loved having him here. He always wants to hold him and help Daddy carry him. He also loves giving him kisses. I have noticed that Landen has been more affectionate toward me then usual but has been doing really good with not having all my attention. I think a lot of that is having my parents here to entertain him and boy does he love grandpa. I think Landen would be totally happy to go home with grandpa.

Dade is such a sweet heart. He has been such a good baby. He sleeps all the time and doesn't cry unless he is hungry. He loves to be held but is just as fine with sleeping in his bed. He is just so cute and I can't stop staring at him.

Dade Jackson

I woke up Thursday morning having contractions. They were not consistent but they were pretty hard. So we ended up going to the hospital that evening as they got harder. I was only dilated to 1cm and an hour later I had not progressed so they sent me home. That night around 10:00 I started leaking fluid which later we found out was the amniotic fluid. I had a doctors appointment at 1:30 p.m. yesterday and decided to wait to go to the doctor instead of going to the hospital again even though my contractions were getting much harder. The doctor told me my water had already broke so I needed to go to the hospital. At that time I was dilated to 2cm. We got to the hospital around 3:00 and by 10:00 last night I had only dilated to 4cm and things were progressing very slowly and we weren't even sure they would continue to progress. So I ended up having a cesarean. At 10:56 p.m. on February 13th Dade Jackson was born weighing 7Ib 9oz and 19 1/2" long.

Bored

I only have 13 days left until my due date and it still seems like its far away. I have been occupying my time by reading. I have been reading the Twilight books and am now obsessed. I haven't been able to stop reading. I got the first book to have something to read when I was in the hospital but I finished it in less than a week, and now I just finished the second book in about 3 days. It has been nice having something to distract me from my discomfort. But now that I am done with the second book and I don't have the last two yet, I have no idea what to do with myself. My house is clean, everything is ready for the baby and I am so bored I don't know what to do. So here I am writing on my blog trying to keep my self busy.

Landen has been doing really good. I was having a lot of problems being patient with him and not losing my temper, but this last week has been great. We have been getting along much better and we both have been a lot happier. He has been growing so much. I think he is at least 3 feet tall now.

Drew is doing good. Just stressing about school like he always does. We have decided that we will not be able to go to Tucson this summer like we were planning. We will be staying here so Drew can get his last semester done over the summer then he will have his Associates Degree. Drew with then be applying for the Border Patrol hoping to get back to, or closer to Arizona. Then where ever we end up he will finish his Bachelors Degree.
