A proud wife and frustrated mom

I am so proud of Drew. He got his acceptance letter from U of U and he also got his certificate for making the Dean's List. He has been doing so good working full time and going to school full time. I know I couldn't do what he is doing and I am so proud of everything he has accomplished. Keep up the good work sweety.

I have been potty training Landen for a little while now. I started about a week before we went to Arizona. Then while we were in Arizona he was doing so good. Hardly any accidents and he was waking up every morning with a dry diaper. I was so excited, I thought he was almost potty trained. We got home and for about another week he was still doing good. Then Drew went back to work and it all went down hill from there. To sum it up he is no longer going potty in the toilet. We are having to start all over and I am getting so frustrated because I know he knows how to go potty in the toilet he just doesn't want to. Potty training is not fun!!!

Landen is such a funny kid and comes up with some of the weirdest things. His new thing now is to come up to me and turn around so his back is to me, squat down a little and point to his bottom and say "Mom look, farted". Like I want to see that you farted. I have no idea were he got that from.

Dade is getting so big he is rolling over all the time now. As soon as we lay him down he is rolling over to his stomach. He found his feet the other day so now he loves to play with them. He is not gaining weight like he should be though so we are trying to figure out what is going on. One of his Kidneys is still a little swollen so we are getting ready to go see a specialist about that. That could be affecting his gaining weight. But he continues to get taller everyday.

We had a really good 4th of July weekend. On Friday we went to the Planetarium. Then on Saturday we went to the Hot Air Balloon Festival (we tried to go on Friday but got there a little late so we went again on Saturday), a wet land preserve (for one of Drew's classes), then watched fireworks that night. We all had a fun time. Here are some pictures. On June 27th Lehi had a parade for their Roundup days so here are some pictures from that too.

Waiting for the parade to start

We got to see Smokey the Bear on Friday at the Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Landen playing with the toys in the gift shop

That was almost all of the balloons, I think there were 16 or 17.

We woke him up kind of early so he was still sleepy

The balloons flew right over us.

Having fun trying to find birds at the wet land preserve.

Kids say the darnedest things!

I first want to thank my parents for helping us go to Arizona to visit them. It was so nice to see them and everyone else too. We love you all and already miss you. We took a lot of pictures so here are some.Grandma Pease with Dade and Aunt Alexa with Landen. We all went out to dinner the night we got there. This is at the restaurant. Landen loves Alexa (but what kid doesn't right Alexa).Drew giving Landen swimming lessons. Landen was having a lot of fun swimming.Dade swimming with Grandpa Raley. He likes the water.Grandpa Pease holding Dade, Grandma Pease, and Great Grandma Stock relaxing at my parents house after a nice BBQ. Courtney and Tavia drove down for a few hours just to see us. Thanks guys it was so nice to see you. We love you.
Grandma Raley playing with Dade. Dade's hands where they always are, in his mouth.Landen petting Misty. He had a lot of fun with the dogs.Alexa, Drew and Landen playing at the water park. It was hard to get Landen into the water at first but once he went in we couldn't get him out.2 1/2 years old and already loves the Porsche. He would go look at it every 5 minutes. After Grandpa gave him a ride in it he was really glued to it.Grandma was playing with her camera and trying to get Landen to pose for her. This is my favorite picture of him.

Yesterday we were driving home from the Gym and Landen was in the back talking. Then he started to say a word and we could not figure out what he was really saying but it sounded like a bad word. Finally today we figured it out. We were at the doctors office for Dade's check up and Landen was playing with the trucks and he said the word again. He was saying "truck" but instead of saying the "tr" he was using a "f". That's right it sounded like he was saying the F word. Yesterday we were freaking out thinking he learned the F word at the gym. But today we kept trying to get him to say truck correctly but he just kept saying the F word over and over again as if he was saying "I am saying truck". Me and Drew couldn't stop laughing.

One more semester

Drew just finished his school semester last week. He will be going to summer school to finish his Associates. It has been so nice having him home in the mornings. Both the boys have really been enjoying getting to see him more. Dade is already such a daddy's boy. As soon as he sees Drew he gets a big smile on his face.
Landen sure does like to hold his brother. Dade has such a cute smile.

We went to a pond last week and fed the ducks. Landen had a lot of fun. He found some duck eggs and got really close to some geese that didn't like him so close.

Happy Easter!!

I finally got Dade's outfit made. I finished it yesterday afternoon. It feels so nice to have it done. It was really nice to have Dade blessed today. Drew did such a good job on the blessing. We had a lot going on yesterday so we didn't get to color eggs until today. Landen had a lot of fun coloring them. Then Drew hid the eggs and we let him go find them all. It was a fun day today. Here a some pictures of Dade and his outfit and some of our Easter fun.

Finally some sleep!!!

So Dade finally slept all night last night. We didn't go to bed until 1:00 in the morning but he slept until 8:00. It was so nice to get just a couple more hours of sleep. I am hoping this is the start of him sleeping through the night. But we will see how he does tonight. Dade has been in the room with Landen now for almost a week. It has been nice not having him wake me up through the night listening to him grunting. Landen sleeps so well that Dade never wakes Landen up even when he cries when he is hungry. Dade is getting so big already. Why do they have to grow so fast? Here is a picture of Dade's smile. This kid loves to smile and now he is trying to laugh. He is so cute and this is just a small smile compared to his usual ear to ear smile.Landen went a whole week with out his pacifier. I was so excited. He would ask me once or twice for it through the day and then when he went to bed he would ask for his pacifier but I would explain to him that its gone and he would be just fine with that. Then on Monday night, when he was suppose to be in bed, he was playing under his bed and found a pacifier. He had it in his mouth before I even noticed he found it. So that night he fell a sleep with it but after he was a sleep I took it and put it way. He has been asking for it a little more now but I am very happy with how he has done with out it. I still just have to explain to him, no more pacifier, and then he is okay.

I love to watch Landen with Dade. He is such a good big brother. He still loves to hold Dade and is always giving him kisses.
You can see how big Dade is getting in this picture.

It snowed all last week so we had a little bit of snow to go play in last weekend. We took Landen to the park and he helped Daddy build a snowman. So here is Landen's first snowman.
Here is how much snow is still up in the canyon.

I have been working on making Dade's Baby Blessing outfit. Yes I am making it and it is driving me crazy. But once I am done I will put some pictures of it on here. I am really excited to see it on him when I am done. I am very proud of myself for making it and I have to thank my mother-in-law because I keep calling her to help explain what I need to do. There is no way I would have been able to do any of it with out her. So thank you. We are blessing him this coming sunday so I have to have it done by then. I only have the pants finished and his shirt and jacket halfway done, so wish me luck.
