Ice Skating
I was looking through some pictures and realized I forgot to post about us going ice skating. We went on January 23 and Landen was able to go for the first time. We were worried he would get the ice skates on or step on the ice and then not want to do it any more. But we were very happy when he got his skates on and walked around with out a problem. Then we got out on the ice and he had so much fun skating around. We had to hold his hands and he stumbled a lot but he was loving it. Even when he was stumbling or fell he had a huge smile on his face. We carried Dade around until I tried to carry him and fell with him. I fell really weird trying not to land on Dade so I hurt my knee. So I sat on the side with Dade while Drew took Landen around. We were there for about 2 hours and I forgot my camera. So the only picture I got was with my phone of Landen getting his skates off as we are getting ready to leave.

Dade's first Birthday
Here are some pictures of Dade's First Birthday. Dade had a lot of fun playing with the balloons. We weren't sure how he would do with his presents since on Christmas he just wanted the wraping paper, but he did really good opening his presents him self. Then when we gave him his cake and he pushed it away and said "uh uh". He would only eat it if I gave it to him on a fork. I made him a lion cake and I liked it so much I didn't want to put the candle on it. We had some friends come over. After the presents and cake we played the Wii and let the kids just play. It was a really fun day. I just can't believe he is already one. Landen did pretty good. He kept saying things like: "It's Dade's Birthday", "That's Dade's Birthday cake", "Are those Landen's" (pointing at the presents). Once we pointed everything out as Dade's for his birthday then he kept letting everyone else know it was all for Dade's Birthday. Today Dade said "Dada" for the first time. He has said "Mama" once but I haven't been able to get him to say it again. He was having so much fun saying "Dada" I called Drew at work and let him hear Dade say it. He was pretty happy.

Thank You
The move went really well. Thank you so much to everyone that helped. We really appreciate all the help we received. We still have stuff to unpack and some stuff to take to our storage but we are almost there. The boys have had a hard time with not getting my attention. Also Landen was over at friends houses while we moved so he has been going crazy with being stuck at home and not having other kids to play with. But we have had some warm days so we will try to get outside more. Dade is walking all over the place. That is all he wants to do and he gets upset when he keeps falling. Saturday is Dade's first birthday. I can't believe he is already one.

A Fun Week
Well I just took my Mom and Dad to the airport. They flew in last Wednesday and just left today. We had such a good time with them. We took them to Olympic Park in Park City and we got to watch some people do the skeleton run. They watched the boys for us one night and let Drew and I go on a date. We went to Olive Garden for dinner then went to the movies and saw Planet 51. It was really nice to go on a date with just the two of us. We also went to the Planetarium. The rest of the time we just sat around and relaxed. It was a lot of fun having them here. Landen and Dade had a lot of fun playing with them. When we took them to the airport Landen had a hard time saying good bye. As he saw them walking away he started to cry and kept saying he wanted Grandma and Grandpa. He cried the whole way home. Right after we left he called them to tell them bye again and then when we got home he called them again. He is really going to miss having them here. It was so nice having them stay with us for a week. Here are some pictures from their visit.

Now that my parents have left its time to get ready to move tomorrow through Friday.

First step!!!
Dade took his first steps today. I am so excited but really scared at the same time. Dade was standing next to Drew holding onto his legs and then he let go. He stood there for a few seconds then took about 2 or 3 steps to get to me. We were so excited and started clapping for him. He got a huge smile on his face. We could tell he was very proud of himself. We got him to do it about 8 more times, but he will only walk if we are trying to get him to do it. He is going to be walking all by himself very soon. I am not sure if I should be more happy or scared about that.
My parents are coming to visit tomorrow. They will be here for a week. I am so excited to see them. We haven't seen them for almost 8 months, when Dade was 3 months old. The day after they go home we will be moving into a 2 bedroom apartment. Its in our same court just the building over. Then the weekend after we move Dade will be turning 1. I hope time slows down, because it is going by way too fast for me.

My little booger
Dade is a little booger. When Drew and I got out of the shower this morning I heard Landen say "Ah! Dade! My goodness!" in his most dramatic way. So I knew Dade was doing something he wasn't supposed to. When I went to check on him Dade was sitting on top of the end table in the living room with some stuff thrown on the floor, my pictures knocked over, and my phone charger plug in his mouth. He is already more of a handful than Landen was. He gets into everything. When he finds something he wants, like the lamps or plugs, there is no stopping him from getting it. No matter how many times you take Dade away or try to entertain him with something else, he still keeps going back. And he sure knows how to throw a fit. If you take something away from him or make him mad he throws his head in his lap and starts screaming and crying. I think we spoiled him for way too long. Now we are trying to be more strict with him. He is a brat too. He likes to hit people in the face. When he does that I will take his hands, tell him to be soft, then show him how to be soft by rubbing the face nicely. Then he will get mad and show you how he does soft and hits you in the face again. He does some pretty funny things though too, and can be a sweetheart, sometimes. Landen and Dade still get along so well. Dade will do something to make Landen laugh then Dade will start laughing too. As long as Landen keeps laughing Dade will keep going and laugh with him. I have a video of Landen and Dade spinning on the floor. Dade does this all the time.

Catching up
I took Dade to his Doctors appointment on the 18th. He had an ultrasound and then we met with the urologist. He does have a small blockage on the left side. That means the ureter has a small hour glass shape instead of being strait. Everything else still looks the same. No new concerns so we will now be going in every 6 months to check on it. Next time he goes in he will have the VCUG test done again. We still have to give him the antibiotics everyday and watch to make sure he doesn't get a UTI or Kidney infection.
Two days ago Dade said "more" in sign language for the first time. He is so smart. We haven't been doing the signing with him for very long. He loves watching us use sign language. Now he says "more" all the time, even when he is just playing by himself. I thought his k-9's came in on the top because they are so pointy and spread out but actually they are his second teeth. His two front teeth just came in and he is going to have a big gap between his teeth. He does really good at eating solid food and always wants our food instead of his baby food. He is already such a trouble maker. He gets in to everything and is so fast. If we turn our backs for a second he is already in the next room. He is very interested in everything. If he knows someone is going to the bathroom he races in there to see. He will stand up holding onto the toilet and there has been a few times we were not fast enough and he put his hand in the toilet.
Landen is doing so good recognizing his letters and numbers. He can count to 11 by himself and needs just a little help to get to 20, Then from 20 he says 1,2,3 instead of 21,22,23 etc. He is also doing really good with his colors. Some of his favorite phrases right now are: "That's weird", "What the?", "Peace out", and "What you doin?".
It has been so nice having Drew home more now that he is on break. Things have been crazy with Christmas but I have still enjoyed every extra minute I get to spend with Drew and I know the kids feel the same way. We saw Santa on the 12th. He came to the apartments community center. Both the boys were too scared to sit on Santa's lap so we took a family picture with him. On November 7th our friend Candace took some family pictures for us. We went to this really nice park. It was cold outside but we got some nice pictures. I have fallen behind on posting pictures so here are a bunch.
