A new addition to the family!

We are getting a dog! My cousins dog had puppies and when we saw the pictures of them we fell in love and decided to get one. Their  mom is a German Shepard mix and their dad is a Brindle colored Boxer. We went to see them on Friday but it was late and they were sleepy so we didn't really get to play with them much. We had two puppies we were trying to decide between. I took the boys over to my Aunt's today to make our decision. So meet Zoey:

Christmas 2011

I am blogging late about Christmas but I finally decided to get it done. We had a really nice Christmas with my parents. The boys got a lot of presents. Landen asked Santa for Optimus-prime and blue shoes and Dade asked for Bumblebee. They were very excited to see that Santa got them what they wanted. I really had a lot of fun this year with Landen since it was the first time he really got into Christmas and Santa. It was nice being able to spend Christmas with family especially because this was the first year in four years we were able to.

 Looking at all the presents
 Dade loves Thomas the Train
 very cool binoculars
 art set
Dade got a Spencer (from Thomas and Friends) and was very excited about it!

Drew started the Academy on January 2nd so he is just starting his 3rd week and has 4 more to go. It is nice for things to finally be moving along. I am only working on Saturdays now and love it. It is really nice being home with the boys again. I really missed spending this much time with them. Even though I would prefer to spend Saturdays with Drew it is still nice to get out of the house one day a week.

Last class

Here are some more cakes and cupcakes I have made recently.

Cupcakes I made for my moms office. The snowflakes I made out of white chocolate.

This cake was for Drew's work.
I had my last cake decorating class tonight and this is the cake I made. I learned a lot and had a lot of fun in the class. I hope to be able to take another class soon to learn how to work with fondant.

Fish cake

I am taking a basic cake decorating class at Joann's. So far I have had two classes. We didn't do very much for the first class but the second one was a lot of fun. I have really learned a lot and am excited for the next two classes. I hope to take the more advanced classes some time soon. The lovely little fish cake I decorated.

Landen's Birthday

Landen is growing too fast for me! He turned 5 on November 30th. On Saturday the 26th we had a little birthday party for him. We had a really nice Thanksgiving with Drew's family then had both of our families together for Landen's birthday. Landen is such a smart kid and is growing so much everyday. I am so proud of him and thank Heavenly Father every day for him. He is such a sweet kid and never forgets to tell me how much he loves me. I am so blessed to have two beautiful, loving, great kids in my life!

The kids played a game that was kind of like pin the tail on the donkey, except it was with transformers and they had to put their stickers on the Autobot and Desepticon symbols.

The "SWEET" Autobot cake I made for Landen.

Halloween fun!!

We had a really fun Halloween! It started on the Friday before Halloween when we went to the Marana Pumpkin Patch. Landen said he wanted to get a REALLY BIG pumpkin, so we told him if he could carry it, he could get it. He definitely got the biggest pumpkin he could carry! There was a little hay maze for the kids that we went through and the boys liked the slide at the end. It was truly a wonderful family night out!

 Fun little tractors
 Dade couldn't reach the pedals.

Yay, he made it out of the maze!!!

The next day we had trunk-or-treat at the church. A wonderful dinner was served first fallowed by some games and a haunted house.

We are very excited to get some candy!!

On Sunday we carved our pumpkins. Dade really got into it and had a lot of fun helping me clean out and carve the pumpkin. Landen enjoyed watching us but didn't really want to touch the guts.

 Very proud of his pumpkin!

Now for Halloween. Landen dressed up as a ninja and Dade dressed up as a biker dude. There is a neighborhood near us that goes all out for Halloween. They block off the road and everyone sits out on their driveway as kids go around. It was a lot of fun but there were a lot of people there. The boys had a lot of fun and were not very happy when we were done trick-or-treating.

Landen showing us some ninja moves!

You can't tell from the picture but this was a talking pumpkin. It was awesome!

These were some of the decorated houses in that neighborhood.

 All done trick-or-treating.
Seeing what candy they got and trying some of it!!
